Now Accepting 2023-24 AKS Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications

The James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for its 2023-2024 Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) Postdoctoral Fellowship. The postdoctoral fellowship is open to scholars in any field of Korean Studies including both humanities and social sciences. This fellowship is supported by the Core University Program for Korean Studies through the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and Korean Studies Promotion Service of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS-2023-OLU-2250002).

The James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies is pleased to announce the Graduate Fellow Award, aimed at students who are involved in the study of Korea and interested in active participation in the university’s Korean studies program. Fellows will be selected on the basis of academic merits and demonstrated interest in Korean studies. Applicants for this one-year award should be full-time graduate students including MA and Ph.D students.

The James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies at the University of Pennsylvania announces the Moon Family Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2023–24 academic year. The postdoctoral fellowship is open to scholars whose research and teaching focus on contemporary Korea in the social sciences broadly defined (e.g., anthropology, communication, economics, education, geography, political science, sociology, and other related disciplines).
