Penn Forum in Korean Studies

We are pleased to announce that the James Joo-Jin Kim Program in Korean Studies is launching Penn Forum in Korean Studies, a monthly talk series open to the Penn community. The forum will provide a platform for graduate students and junior scholars to deliver a presentation on their research interest and discuss it with their peers. The forum is open to any graduate students and junior scholars with research interest in Korea from all departments to present. Please contact Samantha Koo (samkoo@sas.upenn.edu) to schedule a presentation. Penn Forum in Korean Studies is open to all students and faculty for participation. 
 
Please join our inaugural talk by John Grisafi, graduate student in East Asian Languages and Civilization, on Thursday, 2/22, at 12:00pm at Williams Hall 639. John will talk about Politics, Public, and Shamans: Marginalization of Shamanism in Korea, Past and Present. Lunch will be provided.
