Hyunwoo Song

Hyunwoo Song is a second-year master’s student in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations. His research interest includes modern Korean identity formation and the history of the Korean diaspora. He focuses on introducing a transnational perspective to his research. He is currently working on finishing his master’s thesis on the development of Korean nationalism in the twentieth century. Hyunwoo received his Bachelor of Arts in History and East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania.
