Hyunwoo Song

Hyunwoo Song is a senior in the College majoring in History and East Asian Languages and Civilizations. He is interested in the history of the Korean diaspora. He is currently working on finishing his honors thesis on the development of the Korean American Association of Greater Philadelphia. Working with the Korean community in Philadelphia, Hyunwoo saw the importance of preserving and telling the story of the first-generation Korean immigrants. He hopes to continue his research as a 2023-24 Undergraduate fellow, introducing the stories of Korean immigrants to Penn students.
