Research Interests

Kennan Cepais a PhD candidate in Sociology and her research primarily examines the economic constraints young adults and families face in navigating the transition to adulthood and higher education in the United States. Recent work includes research on Asian American youth's experiences with educational debt, work describing trends in American's attitudes about the importance and timing of adult milestones since 2000, and a paper in the Journal of Family Issues examining the determinants of parental coresidence among young adults from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
