2025-26 Undergraduate Fellow

Sophia Lee is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in political science and minoring in Asian American Studies. Through the Undergraduate Fellowship, she hopes to explore how gender norms take shape within the Korean diaspora in the United States, particularly how Korean American family structures function as distinct gendered spaces and how such norms influence the political behavior of Korean American youth. Previously, she conducted research at the Annenberg Center for Public Policy and deepened her commitment to Korean Studies through community-based work as a civic engagement intern at the National Korean American Service and Education Consortium’s Woori Center. On campus, she co-chairs the Asian American Studies Undergraduate Advisory Board and enjoys reading and hiking in her free time.
