Earn $2,000 as an Undergraduate Fellow!

Undergraduate students interested in Korean Studies are encouraged to apply for the 2017–2018 Korean Studies Undergraduate Fellowship. The Kim Program in Korean Studies will recruit up to five (5) Undergraduate Fellows, who will be selected on the basis of academic merits and demonstrated interest in Korean Studies.

John Grisafi Named 2017 Dean's Scholar

John Grisafi, Kim Program Undergraduate Fellow for 2016– 2017, has been named one of the 10 Undergraduate Dean's Scholars for 2017. Students are nominated by faculty from among those with a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Ph.D. Student Exchange Program

For academic year 2017–18, the James Joo-Jin Kim Program in Korean Studies will select one (1) School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) doctoral student for participation in the Penn-Seoul National University Korean studies Ph.D. student exchange. A nominee must be a doctoral student in a humanities or social science field who has completed coursework and is working on a dissertation focused on Korea.
